TRIBE connects people through events in Dubai. We collect only what is needed to review submissions, connect organisers with interested people and send the newsletters you choose.

What we collect and why

Event submissions include the information you provide about your event and your contact details. Event information and any deliberately supplied public contact links appear after approval. Your private organiser contact is used for review, not public display. Ideas and responses include your name, email or WhatsApp number, interests and message; contact details are accessible only to authorised administrators. Newsletter signup records your email, optional name, preferences and consent. You receive newsletters only after confirming your email.

Photos and safety

Uploaded photos are checked, stripped of embedded metadata and kept private until approval. Rejected photos are removed. Unattached photos are removed after 24 hours during scheduled or subsequent cleanup. Short-lived abuse-prevention records use keyed connection identifiers instead of raw IP addresses and expire after two hours.

Cookies and local storage

We use essential storage for administrator sign-in, security, newsletter preferences and recent searches. No analytics or advertising tracking is enabled. The notice acknowledgement is stored on your device. Any future non-essential tracking will require your consent before it starts.

Who handles your information

TRIBE uses Lovable Cloud for hosting, authentication and protected storage. Email providers handle messages when sending is activated. Providers may process information outside the UAE; appropriate contractual safeguards and the applicable UAE Personal Data Protection Law requirements must be assessed before new processing arrangements are enabled. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention and your choices

Submissions and responses are retained while needed for review and organising. Subscriber preferences are retained while you subscribe; unsubscribed records are kept only as necessary to honour your choice and meet obligations. You can unsubscribe through the link in every newsletter. To request access, correction, withdrawal of consent or deletion, email hello@dubaitribe.ae with “Privacy request” and the email used for your submission. We may ask for proportionate identity verification before acting on a request. You may also contact the competent UAE authority about a privacy concern.

Policy status

This policy describes the site's current practices. The legal operator identity, detailed retention schedule and international transfer arrangements are awaiting owner confirmation and legal review; this is not a certification of UAE PDPL compliance.
